Education is the key to women’s empowerment. The empowering role of women’s education affects not only the lives of the women, but also the lives of their children and other dependents such as the aged. Education, especially professional and technical education, is also likely to enhance women’s economic independence by equipping them with the skills necessary to take up paid employment opportunities. At the national level, educating women has resulted in improved Productivity, improved income and economic development as well as in a better quality of life.

At the Memon Institute of Teachers Training (MITT) we view women’s empowerment and capacity development as vital to Pakistan socioeconomic growth and are striving to help them reach their potential through professional education and training. One of our main objectives at the MITT is to train women as master trainers to help sustainably improve the delivery of high quality training, career counselling, and job placement for women. Over the past 10 years, we have produced a significant number of excellent master trainers in various fields education, research and development.

Established in 2011 under the aegis of the Pakistan Memon Women Educational Society, the MITT was the brainchild Mr Qasim Moosa Lawai a veteran community leader who is widely honored and acclaimed for his contributions to education. Since he forayed into the realm of social welfare in the early 90’s following in his legendary father’s philanthropic footsteps, Mr lawai has been passionately involved with education reform and created a large network of model schools across Karachi.

On the surface, it may seem like the earliest years of education simply help children adjust to life in the classroom and give them an opportunity to socialize. However, the early childhood program you choose for your child does have a paramount impact on their life. The MITT employs the Montessori-plus preschool teaching method. It is a synergetic blend of various highly effective contemporary approaches to early childhood education that has been meticulously developed by our R&D wing over the years of optimize learning outcomes.

The MITT also enjoys a reputation as a leader in market-driven education and offers a wide range of most sought -after upskilling programs with very high employment prospects. These six months certificate programs include computer Graphics for print media, Computer operator, office assistant course and Fashion Design & Dress Making. Our Future goal are aimed at broadening the scope and efficiency of our education and training programs and we to be able to forge ahead, chiseling our vision into reality.
